Well, it’s officially halfway through the most important month in the fashion industry. Straight from the concrete jungle of New York to the cobbled streets of London, the style ensemble and models are gearing up for another gigantic fashion week in the heart of Italian haute couture – Milan.

Creativity and know-how are inextricably linked to this fashion capital. A trip to the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II and you will understand why. With workshops for some of the world’s greatest fashion houses on every corner, Milan still conveys contemporary sophistication and refined elegance. It’s a style that has become synonymous with the city.

Although Italy has been rocked by the continued impacts of COVID-19, we have no doubt that the designers, who will deliver both in real life and in virtual presentations, will continue to cement Milan and Italian fashion as a enviable and luxurious force to be reckoned with. .

Officially starting on September 21, the week will open with a showcase of emerging talent and end on September 28. This fashion week will be one of the few firsts. Not only will this be the first time that Italian designers have presented physical presentations since the start of 2021, but it will also be the first time that Kim Jones and Raf Simons and Miuccia Prada will present collections to an audience for Fendi and Prada respectively.

Appearances by TOD’S, Max Mara, Jil Sander, MM6 Maison Margiela and Versace are on the program, but the powers Bottega Veneta, Gucci and Miu Miu are notably absent.

While not officially on the schedule, Rhianna’s third volume of Savage x Fenty will be out on September 24. Slated to be the show of the year, we have no doubts that the Fierce lingerie line will be one of the most talked about shows of the season. .
