Heinz launches clothes stained with real ketchup

Legendary ketchup company Heinz has launched a clothing line that uses real ketchup to stain vintage clothing.
The sauce giant kicked off the fashion line by teaming up with second-hand clothing retailers ThredUp. The collection is called ‘Heinz Vintage Drip collection’.

According to reports, the collection will include 157 pieces of second-hand streetwear, all pre-stained with ketchup. Sizes will range from XXS to XXL.

The garments are expected to be released on Heinz’s US store website later this month. Once online, customers can bid on exclusive t-shirts and hoodies.

Money earned from the clothing line will be sent to global food charity Rise Against Hunger, according to reports.

ThredUp said Heinz’s Drip collection came at a time when demand for the pre-loved clothing is reaching new heights among Gen Z and millennial consumers.

According to a company study, about 62% of Gen Z and Millennials say they look for a used item before buying a new one.
