‘Asean-Republic of Korea Fashion Week 2021’ to host digital collection in Busan


BUSAN from South Korea, September 17, 2021 / PRNewswire / – “2021 Korea · ASEAN Fashion Week (2021AKFW)”, organized by the Busan Metropolitan City and the Busan Economic Promotion Agency, will be held at the Busan Art Museum and BEXCO from September 29 (Wednesday) at 02 October (Saturday) for 4 days in non-audience mode, online and live.


AKFW, the successor to Busan Pret-a-porter, has been extended to the ASEAN region with the special Korea ASEAN 2019 summit as a boost. Fashion Week is the biggest fashion event of the fashion industry in Korea and ASEAN linked to the new South Korea policy and this year marks the 3rd anniversary of the fashion event.

The fashion event in which a total of 27 companies and 9 fashion departments from 11 countries participate, will run for 4 days and is available on the official site and the official Youtube channel.

2021AKFW will have the Busan opening performance of artist collaboration at Busan Art Museum in 6.30 p.m. to September 29 (Sea.). The theme of the opening show is “Starting Point for Change, NEW WAVE BUSAN.

In hall 5A of BEXCO exhibition center 2 at Busan, a fashion show and the 2nd ASEAN Fashion Development Online Digital Forum are held from September 30 (thu) to 02 October (Sat.).

The program characteristics

The topic of the forum is “Korea Fashion Industry Conversion Cooperation Plan ASEAN to Digital.
